I have a compilation of long and short essay questions that had appeared in the past exams.
The compilation includes 81 long essay and 389 short essay questions covering all categories in the syllabus.
Although the compilation was prepared way back in 2006, I have not updated them since then. Visitors are encouraged to send their own
compilation of questions not present in this list.
You may access the long essay question list here and short essay list here.
Knowledge of microbiology is put to use in diagnosing a clinical condition with the aid of laboratory tests. A student should be able to make a clinical diagnosis on the basis of patients signs, symptoms, history, occupation etc and then confirm or rule out diagnosis by employing suitable laboratory investigations.
I have presented several
fictitious cases of illness and presented few questions with their answers leading to the right diagnosis.
Relevant pictures are also displayed to reinforce learning. Placing the mouse cursor over links pops up images.
I have presented quiz in four sections; bacteriology, mycology, virology and immunology. Each section has ten questions with four options and user has to select the correct answer. The quiz is designed to display the score instantly.
User has to fill in a mandatory form to participate in the quiz. User email will not be shared with anyone and confidentiality would be strictly maintained. Both UG and PG level quizzes are placed in the same location for convenience.
Also included are two simple crosswords. Quiz can be accessed here whereas crossword can be accessed here.
I have a collection of images related to medical microbiology that I have uploaded in this section as a flash file. I have divided them into
following categories; instruments, media, tests, slides, sterilization,
animals and parasites. More could be added soon.
The flash slideshow opens in a new window. Images are displayed as a slide show with a brief description. All the photo slideshow are available for general view except for microscopy slides, which can be accessed only by my students.
It is only recently that multimedia projection system for lecture halls was introduced in our college.
To utilise this opportunity, I have begun preparing multimedia slides for my classes. The slides made for presentation in the class has been modified with more text so that a student can learn even if the classes are missed.
My lecture presentations are however, available to my students only. Interested students may provide me their name as well as roll number and ask me for user name and password.
While examination is a serious issue and students do write them seriously, sometimes certain answers turn out be funny, unexpected and out of the place.
I have made a compilation of such answers that I have found in the students answer scripts during evaluation.
The points mentioned in this page are incorrect and should not be taken seriously.
